The Key West Woman’s Club raises money for all sorts of charities. One of the ways they raise money is by selling the Talk of the Town Restaurant Card. This card costs $95 each, with proceeds going to local charities.
The card entitles you to two for one entrees at twenty different restaurants. It is valid until June 30, 2011, so there is plenty of time to get to all of them. Some of the restaurants on this year’s card include Thai Life, Blackfin Bistro, Hogfish Bar and Grill, Bagatelle (review coming on Thursday, stay tuned), Camille‘s (dinner only – you won’t find me there) and many others.
The card can be used once per restaurant, and some come with conditions – dinner only, Sunday through Thursday only, breakfast only. I figure by using the card at most of the restaurants we will save about $275, which is a pretty good return on my $95 investment. As a bonus you can get discounts on theater tickets at the Red Barn and Waterfront Playhouse, too.
If you live in Key West, or will be visiting for more than two or three days, consider buying a card. You help a good cause and save yourself some money in the process. It’s a win-win. Pick one up at Curves, in the Winn-Dixie shopping center, or contact the Woman’s Club to see where else you can get one.
