I want t take a moment and wish a Happy Mother’s Day to my mother, my mother-in-law and everyone else who is a mother today. I will even refrain from my usual Hallmark-holiday rant about why we need to buy cards and flowers today only and how bad restaurant service generally is on Mother’s Day. I will also refrain from complaining about the people that continue to wish me a Happy Mother’s Day, even when there are no children in tow (like the guy I spoke to at American Express… just because I am a woman doesn’t necessarily mean I am a mother.)
So, if you are in fact a mother, mom, mommy, mama, eema or whatever, Happy (rant-free) Mother’s Day.
