Last night the bars of Wilton Manors really rolled out the welcome mat for the 3 Loud Women, and posse. We had quite a nice group of people for our first ever bar crawl, and a good time was had by all. We started at the Village Pub, giving out t-shirts and making new friends.
They welcomed us with not one, but two specialty “3 Loud Women” drinks – one a riff on an Arnold Palmer, but with pineapple and rum, the other a sweet, pink punch with cherry rum. Both were delicious. From there, the gang, megaphone in hand, moved on to Rumors where we enjoyed the 3 Loud Women “Triple Threat”, another pink concoction of three different vodkas. We also enjoyed a glorious assortment of cheese, spinach artichoke dip and fried mushrooms. The crowd was not pleased to be leaving.
Alas, we were just crossing the parking lot to get to New Moon bar, where there was pool being played, drinks enjoyed and more hair product samples passed out by our sponsor, Marcy Blick Enterprises. New Moon not only has a comfortable inside, but also a wonderful patio bar so we could enjoy the great, warm weather.
The final stop on the parade was Rosie’s where we enjoyed Voodoo Punch (really dangerous stuff) and a whole slew of food – from nachos to the biggest pretzels I have seen and other stuff in between. The whole evening was filled with new friends, wonderfully hospitable locations and a good time was had by all. Video footage coming soon.
