Of course on Labor Day, when half the country is having a BBQ, I am going to post about burgers. Last Week, BurgerFi opened another location in Aventura, FL, to a large, hungry crowd.
The opening party drew hundreds of people, and I am guessing it was more than expected. They had people passing around white wine
and bubbly, but the line for food was tremendous. People were ordering from the counter, and they were backed up, so I did not sample any of the hot food. I did, however, sample the frozen custard, both chocolate and key lime pie (complete with chunks of crust! Mmmmm….) and I have to say they were delish. I also tried one of the huge chocolate cupcakes, which was pretty good, too. The custard, however, was really worth the trip.
The menu is simple: burgers, hot dogs, fries and onion rings, with a twist. Among the burgers are a veggie burger made from quinoa (which, I have to say, I am really looking forward to trying), and a slew of toppings including grilled mushrooms and Peter Luger steak sauce. They use grass fed beef and have made the restaurants as “green” as possible.
BurgerFi franchises are popping up all over the place, and I am looking forward to trying the food, as the custards are really good! BurgerFi is located at 18139 Biscayne Blvd in Aventura. They have numerous other locations across the country.
