We had lamented for years the lack of good pizza here, and all of a sudden there is an abundance. Between Roostica on Stock Island, Zaza’s in Sugarloaf, and now Onlywood in Key West, we should be set for a while. Assuming they all stay in business for a while.

Last night we had dinner at our house, which is not too unusual. Several wine geek friends came over, along with a new friend in from Saginaw, Michigan (and yes, I did have Simon and Garfunkel’s “America” in my head for a week… “It took me four days to hitchhike […]

Wine Dinner: Good Wines, Good Times

The folks at Bormioli Rocco sent me one of their new Tre Sensi wine glasses to try out, along with literature about what makes it so great. Naturally, I had to try it out.

Tre Sensi Wine Glass… The Next Great Thing?

I was a little disappointed that I could not make it to more events at the Boca Raton Food and Wine Festival over the weekend. But I did manage to get there for the Sunday Jazz Brunch. At $75 a person, I thought the event was expensive, but I later […]

It is that time of year again. Tickets for Key West’s premier food and wine event are now on sale, and I have good news for you. Say it with me: Discount Code. That is right, the folks at the Key West Food and Wine Festival love Florida Keys Girl readers so […]

Tickets (and Discount Code!) Now Available: 2013 Key West Food …

I know you have been waiting for these. As usual, it was a crazy time in Key West. Some of these are not for the faint of heart. You have been warned.  Enjoy.

Fantasy Fest 2012: The Photos

I must thank Janet Jackson for introducing this phrase into our mainstream communications over eight years ago. Although nobody actually believes her nipple-shield-reveal was any type of accident, the phrase has come in mighty handy. Like earlier this week, when I got his email from FKGuy: Wardrobe malfunction.  Another suit zipper […]

I know you can’t wait until next week, so today I am bringing back some of the favorite photos of the last few years. In addition, if you haven’t yet planned out your whole week, here are a few choices for what to do. There is no shortage of drinking, […]
