What started off as an idea to have a fun day at the beach has turned into an all-out music extravaganza. The folks behind Swankey, who are best known for putting on amazing weddings and other parties, are bringing a summer music-fest to town this weekend. If you are looking for something to do this is guaranteed to be a good time.
The all day festival will start at 11AM on Sunday, June 26 and go until about 9 PM. During that time there will be all sorts of fabulous musicians performing. Each act will have about an hour-long set with short DJ-filled breaks in between. It is ten hours of nonstop music.
But who is playing at this (hopefully annual) festival? Good question. The lineup looks like this:
- Raven Cooper
- DJ Jimmy Jamz
- Cory Heydon Band
- Chas Blakemore
- Howard Livingston and the Mile Marker 24 Band
- Roberto DeBourg and The Flats Band
- Nick Norman and Caffeine Carl
I know what you’re thinking… This sounds great, but I am bound to get hungry – and thirsty – during my day at Higgs Beach… Have no fear, they’ve got that covered, too. There will be food for sale by Salute! as well as DJ’s Clam Shack. Plus, Salute! will have a bar set up on the beach – no need to trek inside to get a cocktail.
Tickets are on sale now online for $50 each, or will be available at the door, as well. You can call 305-396-7076 for more information.
Are you planning on going? I’d love to hear what you think after the event.
