Back on The Rock, Things To Do This Weekend

After a couple of overly-stressful weeks, we are finally back in Key West this weekend, and not a minute too soon. It is the middle of high season here and there is a lot going on. Next week brings the Key West Food and Wine Festival (more on that on Monday). But this weekend there is still plenty to do.

We are in the middle of the 31 st Annual Key West Literary Seminar, and the Sunday afternoon sessions are both free and open to the public. (I know where I will likely be…)  This weekend also brings the January House Tours, where visitors can explore Key West architecture and design. For tickets, please visit Old Island Restoration Foundation. If you are hungry at any point on Saturday, the annual Seafood Festival will be in full swing at Bayview park.  Too much seafood? The Key West Half Marathon will be run on Sunday morning, through Old Town and along the waterfront. If you are feeling active, this is a really fun race.

If, however, you are feeling sloth-like, like me, you may want to stick with visits to some of the great local restaurants and bars. I’ll see you out and about.
