Fantasy Fest 2013: The Villains

Now that we have covered the Superhero cocktails, it is time to talk about the other side of the coin, the Villains. There are so many good ones to choose from (and still I have no costume ideas…) and so many good drinks to go along with them. Once again, all recipes come from the awesome drinksmixer.com

First up, He-who-must-not-be-named. That is right, Lord Voldemort. He is one of the villains that deserves some mention.

The Dark Lord

1 oz vodka
1 oz blackberry schnapps
1/2 oz cranberry juice

Mix all ingredients with ice. Strain and serve in a cocktail glass. Garnish with a black olive.

Next up, is one of my favorites, the Evil Queen from Snow White. She just exudes mean, and I love it. For her, the Jealous Queen:

1/2 oz triple sec
1 oz vodka
1 dash bitters
1 dash salt

Mix together in a glass.
I know what you are thinking: we can’t talk about villains without a mention of one of the most popular ones of the 80’s. He inspired a catchphrase often used, but never really fitting in to conversation, and he inspired many a teenage boy to refer to others as “sensei”. Yep, you guessed it, the Cobra Kai Sensei from Karate Kid. And for him, the Snake Bite:

1/2 pint lager
1/2 pint  cider

Pour ingredients into a pint glass. Drink. Fall over.

No, I will not dress up as a shower as Ralph Macchio did in The Karate Kid. Much more chance of Wonder Woman. Now go try some cocktails, and sweep the leg. I still have costume ideas, so won’t you please share yours? Once again, I promise not to steal your ideas unless they are (a) really good and (b) really easy.  Want more Fantasy Fest?
