We tend to think that when season ends and the snowbirds return to the north that the fun stops in Key West. Well, the snowbirds think that, anyway. The summer in Key West is hot, sometimes rainy and fun-filled.

The Sun-Sentinel has once again announced the Best of Blogs winners in spectacular fashion. Bloggers, friends of Bloggers and even FKGuy gathered at YOLO in Fort Lauderdale for the grand announcement. It is interesting to put faces with blogs, that is for sure. I’m pretty cheap about a lot of things. Eating is not one of them. Buying groceries or dining out, I always want quality ingredients and a good preparation. Generally, that means spending. Earlier this week we went to Ocean Prime in Aventura, just north of Miami, and the overall feeling […]
Boondocks is one of those places I always drive by, but don’t stop at because it is generally inconvenient to where I am going: Key West. Located at Mile Marker 27.5, it is generally further than I am willing to go when there is an event there, or I am […]

Image via Wikipedia I was reading an article on a blog recently about the top 5 tips from locals when planning your Key West vacation and I had to laugh. Why? Well, for one thing, I am a travel agent and plan a whole lot of different kinds of trips […]
It has been well over a year since I have been spending loads of time in Key West. In honor of this not-so-specific milestone, I thought I would recap some highlights. A year ago this weekend we were watching the power boat races from our friend’s balcony. This weekend we […]
People in other climates dream of sitting in a waterside restaurant, pulling up on their boat and enjoying a simple meal. In the Florida Keys, this is part of life. Open air restaurants, with water views and friendly service are virtually everywhere here – that is how it goes when […]
